Define posts, carousels, formats, copywriting, revisions and package quantities before requesting a social media design quote.

NỘI DUNG CHÍNH
  1. Define what counts as one deliverable
  2. Write a brief the designer can use
  3. Make revisions and handover measurable

Define what counts as one deliverable

A request for five social media packages is incomplete until each package has a unit. Five packages of ten static posts means fifty base posts; five carousels with six slides each means something different. Write the platform, post count, carousel slides, format ratios and versions explicitly. Confirm whether adapting one design to a second aspect ratio counts as a separate billable asset.

For a product launch, separate the hero key visual from social adaptations, captions and paid advertisement variants. This prevents both the client and agency from assuming the same creative work covers different production needs.

Write a brief the designer can use

Include the intended audience, business offer, campaign objective, message hierarchy, reference designs, brand guidelines, product photographs and any claims requiring approval. Choose whether the provider writes captions and advertising copy or only produces images from client-supplied text. Name the language, content approval owner and proposed publishing channels.

If the brand has no established design system, consider commissioning a small creative direction package before requesting high-volume posts. Otherwise every individual post can become a new conversation about typography, colors and style.

Make revisions and handover measurable

Ask whether the quotation includes a fixed number of review rounds, editable design files, resizing, concept variations and final export formats. Define a feedback deadline and a single approval contact. A revision means improving an agreed concept; a fundamental brief change may deserve a new estimate.

Where several teams share content, request organized naming conventions and a delivery folder structure. This is not glamorous, but it reduces repeated requests and protects consistency during the next campaign.

Choose a buying model for recurring work

Compare one-off content bundles with monthly retained production using a realistic approval calendar. Retainers can work when content themes and volumes are predictable. Project packages may be more suitable for a short launch or a team testing a new market.

Request a quote with the number of packages and items written separately. Confirm what is excluded, such as media spend, community management, photography, stock licensing and posting. The best quote is one that both sides could use to check the final delivery.

Example configuration: a practical monthly social content request

A marketing team requesting five packages should specify whether each package is a monthly bundle, a campaign theme or a set number of assets. For example, one package could mean ten approved designs across a defined content calendar, with the exact number of static posts, carousels and resizing adaptations documented separately. The quotation must not merge these units by assumption.

Describe who writes the captions, supplies imagery and approves legal or product claims. State whether the agency should offer content strategy, creative concepts, art direction and design only, or also publish the content. This distinction protects teams from later arguing over activities that never appeared in the initial scope.

Define a shared file-naming convention and a feedback cutoff each week. Ask for an itemized proposal displaying quantities and delivery sequence, then review one pilot batch for quality and communication before committing to repeated cycles.
